Review of the Luxie Beauty makeup brushes

Finding good quality makeup brushes that last a long time and costs very little, can be difficult. I went on the hunt to find myself some new eyeshadow brushes and came across the Luxie Beauty brushes – it was actually on Asos that I found them. Since I hadn’t heard of this brand before I did some research and found out that all of Luxie Beauty’s brushes are vegan, cruelty-free, hypoallergenic and high-quality – can it get any better?

Luxie has a variety of brushes – face, eye, lips etc and when buying them you can buy just one brush or a set. Their brush sets gives you all your full-face essentials or all the brushes you might need to make a beautiful smokey eye.
The price of these brushes might be the best thing – they are affordable and I found two of my brushes on Asos when they had 30% of beauty products so they were even cheaper. But finding affordable makeup brushes of high quality can be a struggle and therefore I didn’t have any expectation towards these Luxie Beauty brushes… But I must say I’m impressed! First of all the bristles are really soft but still, picks up enough product and they make blending your eyeshadow is easy. I did not experience any shedding or discolouration when I cleaned my brushes – which I sometimes experience (even from more expensive brushes).

The three brushes that I own are for eyeshadow – well I use one of them for concealer and it’s great for this purpose as well:
Luxie 231 Small Tapered Blending Brush
Luxie 205 Tapered Blending Brush
Luxie 120 Detail Round Blender Brush

The smallest blending brush – Luxie 231 Small Tapered Blending Brush is my favorite brush of the three. The great thing is the size because this brush is perfect for blending the eyeshadow on the outer corner of the eyes and underneath the eyes. I love a brown smokey eye and this brush can pick up a lot of product and place it very precisely!

The “regular” blending brush – Luxie 205 Tapered Blending Brush is a must-have! It’s such a standard brush but it can make a huge difference when it comes to blending your eyeshadow to perfection. The brush is really soft and the bristles are gentle and feel so smooth against your eyelids.

My “concealer” brush – Luxie 120 Detail Round Blender Brush is perfect for blending out the concealer under my eyebrows and on my lids. I use concealer to sharpen my brows and as a base for my eyeshadow and this brush has made the blending so easy and quick. It doesn’t leave any streaks/marks from the bristles – the best thing is, that it doesn’t soak up the product (like a beauty blender does) so I’ve found that I tend to use less concealer with this brush.

If you’re looking for some new brushes and you’re not ready to spend a fortune on them, I would definitely recommend trying out some of the Luxie Beauty brushes – so far I have not experienced anything negative about the brushes and mine has become my go-to brushes when doing my eyeshadow!
